Stacie Smith is the owner of Cornerstone Speech Therapy. She received her Bachelor's degree with honors in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Oklahoma State University and her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tulsa. She is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and holds her certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She currently serves as President for the Speech Pathologists' Association Near Dallas.
Stacie enjoys working with kids and adults in speech therapy with a wide variety of communication disorders. She is certified to perform the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD®). She is also trained in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets).
Stacie has worked in the inpatient and outpatient medical settings. She has been in private practice since 2004. Stacie is married and has two sons. Her oldest son is a survivor of cancer of the brain and spine. Being the parent of a child that has also needed extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy helps Stacie better understand the needs of the families she serves.

She has over 13 years of experience practicing speech-language pathology.
Amanda began her career in a Kansas school district before taking some time off to be a full-time mom to her three children. She has worked with the Allen Independent School District since 2009, seeing students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders. She even had the opportunity to treat the son of Cornerstone Speech Therapy’s owners, Jeff and Stacie. Her work was impressive and a large part of why she joined the Cornerstone team. Some of Amanda’s favorite aspects of speech therapy include challenging articulation disorders as well as language disorders including vocabulary and grammar development.

Jamie previously worked in Plano ISD, serving the communication needs of high school students where she developed experience working with communication devices, students on the autism spectrum, and individuals with profound special needs. She has also worked in a pediatric therapy clinic treating kids of all ages with articulation disorders, language delays, and fluency disorders. Jamie loves working with children and their families because she believes that everyone deserves a voice.

A native Texan, she moved back to her favorite southern state, Texas, following her clinical fellowship year. Adria has worked in McKinney ISD serving the communication needs of elementary and middle school students where she has developed experience working with students on the autism spectrum, as well as students with behavioral disorders, speech sound disorders, language impairments and childhood onset fluency disorders. Prior to working in McKinney, Adria gained experience providing pediatric diagnostic evaluations during her clinical fellowship year at UAB Civitan Sparks Clinic in Birmingham, Alabama. Adria finds such joy in partnering with families and supporting children’s speech and language skills because she believes that communication is powerful and that everyone deserves a voice.

Kristin previously worked with both the Allen and Frisco Independent School Districts, seeing early childhood and elementary students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders. Kristin also enjoyed working on the Autism evaluation team and with assistive technology in both districts.
Kristin works with patients of all ages. She particularly enjoys articulation & language disorders, fluency disorders (stuttering), and literacy skills.

She has over 28 years of experience practicing Speech-Language Pathology.
Nicki began her career with Irving ISD and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD where she specialized with children in PPCD classrooms. She was a co-trainer for the Hanen Program with Irving ISD and a member of the AAC team in CFB-ISD. She also worked in ECI with Special Care and Career Services before she moved to England for a couple of years. After her return to the states, Nicki worked as a contractor with charter schools and school districts in DFW including Allen ISD and Richardson ISD. Nicki has also worked in pediatric home health and with The Warren Center as an ECI therapist.
Nicki is a Hanen Certified Therapist, an SOS Trained Feeding therapist, and a 2022 ASHA ACE Award recipient.

Lauren also has experience working as a speech language pathology assistant with 5 years experience within the pediatric home health field. Currently, Lauren works in the Allen Independent School District helping children with a variety of speech-language disorders. She particularly enjoys language disorders, literacy skills, articulation disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.

Chelsea completed her clinical internship during graduate school at The Warren Center in Richardson, Texas.
Following graduation, Chelsea completed her Clinical Fellowship in Richardson ISD at two elementary schools and continued working there for the next 3 years. There, she gained experience working with children between the ages of 3 and 12 on the autism spectrum, those with language delays and impairments, social communication deficits, speech sound disorders, fluency and voice disorders, and low-tech augmentative and alternative communication. Since then, Chelsea has been working at Allen ISD serving students treating a variety of speech and language disorders. She particularly enjoys working with children with speech sounds disorders, receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language disorders, and fluency disorders. Chelsea loves working closely with patients and their caregivers to create a comprehensive and collaborative plan to reach their communication goals!

While earning her Master’s degree, she met her husband. He is a native Texan and she couldn’t keep him in Oklahoma for long. After graduation, she moved to Texas and completed her clinical fellowship year in Arlington ISD serving elementary students. Following her clinical fellowship, she found that the private clinic setting was her passion. She has developed experience working with children on the autism spectrum, behavioral disorders, language delays and impairments, augmentative and alternative communication, social skills, and speech sound disorders. Hayley enjoys working closely with patients and caregivers to find the best way to achieve their speech and communication goals!

Cris began her career working in Colorado Springs School District 11 as an autism and assistive technology specialist for elementary through high school age students. While living in Germany as a military spouse, Cris worked for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools. After taking a few years to stay home with her young children, Cris began to work for Allen ISD in 2000. She has worked extensively with preschool, elementary and secondary level children. Her passions include working with children with high-functioning autism, pragmatic language disorders, and difficult-to-remediate /r/ errors.

After spending 13 years in the engineering and business consulting fields, he along with his wife, Stacie Smith, started Cornerstone Speech Therapy. He has many years working in the medical field including experience with scheduling, billing, medical insurance, and accounting.
In addition to his medical and billing expertise, he also uses his engineering and management background to help solve problems for both clients and staff members to keep the clinic running smoothly.
He is married and has two sons. Having a son with special needs, he has developed a special passion for helping and serving both children and adults with speech therapy needs. He feels the personal attention our clinic can provide families makes such a big difference.
